To ensure you get the most out of your time on the water, we work with a 4:1 ratio of students to instructors.

Safety is our top priority and our instructors are always monitoring the weather. If we really can’t get out on the water, there’s always plenty of chartwork exercises to sink your teeth into!

Depends on the course… With a parent or guardian, children can get their first RYA qualification (Start Yachting) from as young as 8.

All instructors are fully certified and have personally had every experience you’re about to have, in roughly the same order.

Sailing is statistically safer than driving, skiing, and most staircases.

There are no ropes on a boat. There are sheets, halyards, lines, and warps. Pulling the wrong one of these is a time-honoured tradition and how most sailors learn what each one does.

We are just a 10 minute walk from Gibraltar Airport which has daily flights to a variety of UK destinations. There are more options if you fly into Malaga which is only and hour and a half away by bus.

We’ve never had a man overboard at Pretty Sailing, but shout, float, wait and get ready to congratulate yourself on being our first unintentional swimmer.
